Hi,
I'm having a Mac Pro 3.1 wich has a flashed gtx 680 installed. But I would also like to install a GPU upgrade into my MacPro 5.1
Whats the fastet Graphic Card where there are supported drivers available and I can get a Bootscreen?

i think it is the HD 7970 or the GTX 980 !

The gtx 980 has some issues with the drivers as far as I know.

The only issue for 980 - you need to install nvidia web driver.

But performance and especially perf/watt ration is amazing.

slightly overclocked 980 beats 290x in opencl (fp32) perf while consuming 70-80 watts less.

You can get flash service from macvidcards for 980 and it will have less issues when upgrading osx (you won't need to unplug the card for osx upgrade)
