Hi,
we have Nvidia web drivers that seem to add 970/980 on 10.10 partial support.. i.e. no OCL and CUDA..
seems HDMI 2.0 support also has been problematic as some cards seem to not ship with HDMI 2.0.. Anyway seems now clear at least MSI 970/980 cards offer HDMI 2.0 (3840x2160 60hz 4:4:4).. also seems not all TVs 4k with HDMI 2.0 connectors support 3840x2160 60hz 4:4:4mode i.e. someones support 3840x2160 30hz 4:4:4 or 3840x2160 60hz 4:2:4 i.e. we get only 4k 30hz full color or 60hz with degraded color (4:2:0) anyway at least there are some TVs that support it see:
http://bit.ly/118VSTp
also seems all success cases use Windows drivers..
so resuming the confirmed case are using LG 55UB8500 or LG 55UB850T with Windows OS..
seems currently Nvidia Linux drivers have issues with HDMI 2.0 see: http://bit.ly/1C8ysc2 but Nvidia is aware of the problem and willing to fix..
Interesting case is MacOS driver  provides HDMI 2.0 support i.e. if it's variant of Linux (will not work) or Windows driver (will work) i.e. if it supports 3840X2160 60hz full color(4:4:4)..
can someone with mackintosh 980/970 connect to a HDMI 2.0 TV and see that?
thanks..

Currently, it does not work with the following my configuration:
* LG 49UB8500
** 04.33.05 (firmware updated from 03.13.35)
* EVGA 04G-2974-KR (GTX 970)
* Mac Pro (2010)
** Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
** NVIDIA Web Driver 343.01.02f01
** CUDA 6.5.25

LG 49UB8500 has 4 HDMI ports, and 3 rd one should support HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz 4:4:4,
but it seems that NVIDIA Web Driver recognizes it as:
* LG TV Display 120.5-inch 7680 x 4050 @24hz
It seems that GTX 970 with NVIDIA Web Driver can communicate with LG 49UB8500 at 7680 x 4050 x 24 x 24 = 18Gbps.
I am not sure whether LG 49UB8500 or NVIDIA Web Driver causes this.

With other 3 ports, I can use 4K@30Hz.
