Mac pro 2,1 (2007) logic board replacement

???Hi all.
I need to replace the logic board in a 2007 mac pro 2,1. 2007 boards are less abundant and therefore more expensive than 2006. I've dismantled
both models before and there are differences in things like heatsinks, etc. my question is, can i replace a 2007 mac pro logic board with a 2006 model? Will it fit the case and "mate" with all the 2007 components?

Yes everything should line up perfectly. But, you might be better off going with a 2008 board instead
