In my experience, there is a problem running the 32 bit version of 10.7.5, hang & crash reboot over and over

http://rapidshare.com/files/1536846683/RADEON%20HD%207950%20for%20Mac.pkg.zip

These should enable most Radeon 7xxx cards in OSX

Reports?

The id for 7850 isn't in there from one guy's report

Note, in theory these drivers exist in 10.8.3 so of little use to use 10.8.2 unless maybe a hack or 1,1 running ML via wayne's hack

Before asking a question, check your "Personal Settings" and be sure that you have "Brain Services" set to "On".

OK, Rapidshare has set up their site to avoid sharing unless you jump through a few hoops.

My apologies, please let me know if this works now:

Awesome job lads...

I only have one issue, and guess thats system related.. I got my 7850 working(actually both cards), but when I disable my Intel HD 4000, the system gives me white screens on boot up.. Found some sites saying I had to put the system into sleep mode with the power button, which it did.. But system made short bursts of power 3 times when trying to wake it up, followed by a restart.

So.. Big questions from me:

1. Anyone knows how to actually make it wake up from sleep ?
2. Anyone knows if its actually possible to enable crossfire on mac ?

please let us know how you got 7850 working, ther's a guy or two crying at MR that they don't work

I know that X4000 and ATI7000 don't have the right device id, did you patch them or reflash the card?

Which OS are you using? I imagine all 3 have different versions of drivers but I haven't compared the 10.8.2 and 10.8.3 ones.

Can someone, anyone, please upload the drivers to a site without limits, such as https://mega.co.nz/ or mediafire.com

Rapidshare is the worst of the file uploading sites.

Very interested what this means for 6970 as you have perviously posted about it working with 10.7.5.

Why hack it, this drivers contain the kexts for all amd chipsets (sort of), not only 7000.

Iunno, I couldn't get it working with 6970 on 10.8.2 or 10.7.5. If anybody does, please make a info post about it.

I realise that the 7950 (and 7970) are supported as standard in 10.8.3 and later and this is working fine for me. However I am currently on a mission to find the original Lion drivers for a 7950 card I bought secondhand and which unfortunately did not come with the original disc. This is 'just in case' I need to go back to an older OS X version temporarily.

All the download links currently listed in this thread are dead. Would someone be able to provide a new download link?

Many thanks.
