Hi all,
Anyone with experience on this card. Could it be a viable upgrade for a 2010 mac pro?
Thanks!

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208544
Its listed as supported in an EGPU Enclosure so there are drivers in High Sierra and Mojave.
Obviously no boot screens as there is no EFI. It seems it only has one 6-Pin PCIE Power connection, so not that power hungry.
Also you should get PCI-E 2 (5GT) speeds with the 138.0.0.0.0 bootrom update that came with Mojave.
Good Luck.

What's your application, you may be paying over the odds and could get better performance from a RX580.

The Apple recommended Sapphire PULSE RX580 can actually run at the WX7100 setting with very good result. (require flashing)

FCPX, Adobe apps, Davinvci. Mostly video/fil post production software. The 10 bit output of the 7100 seems very attractive. Having two in the mac pro could make the difference and the price I saw at newegg, at 476 € is not that bad either.

RX580 can also output 10bit HDR
But of you want two, then WX7100 obviously can work better due to single slot wide.

I have a Wx7100 in mine and I love it. It works very well, is quiet and not power hungry at all. Tom's Hardware did a good writeup on the pcb improvements on this VS the 480/580.
