It's only me or no one is having problems with this kernel, my Sys Profile crash, no sleep...
Anyone?
Thanx!

I do not have problems with this kernel and everything is running smooth. I have a P4 SSE2 processor and ToH 10.5.2

Switch your sleep to ACPI S1 instead of S3 and install the Macdotnub SMbios27:

Fixed my problems!  Wink

How do you tell if your CPU is actually 'speedstepping' when using this kernel?

My CPU fan has a manual speed regulator, so I can't tell by listening to the fan.

Is there anything else I need to install?

I'm on Kalyway 10.5.1 updated to 10.5.2 with Kalyway combo update, also installed Kalyway 10.5.2 SSE2/SSE3 kernel update and macdotnub's 800MHz AppleSMBIOS 27.

And now netkas' Speedstep kernel.

EFI on MBR, Intel 865, ICH5, Pentium 4 model 651.

A word of warning, following the instructions here:
http://minsong79.tistory.com/10

Which, among other things will install this:
http://www.nedprod.com/programs/MacOS%20X/ACPICPUThrottle/index.html

Will not work on 10.5.2 because ACPICPUThrottle doesn't work with version 9 kernels.

I extracted speedstep.app from the package but it will not start.

So what now..

Try this installer I made. It works on 10.5.2 here.
