You'll all have to patient.

Independent third party will be confirming eGPU function in High Sierra in a very public fashion.

I'm assuming Barefeats will have benchmarks up for us shortly.  Any definitive word on exactly how many eGPUs MP 6,1 supports?

I settled for 1, since everyone else is at 0 right now.

Hopefully he'll do both High Sierra and Win 10 benchies

I may eventually see how many but that doesn't concern me as much as getting them working in the first place

Non-Touchbar 13", working better than the full boat 15"

Netkas is a clever dude

Anyone want to see 2014 Mini or 2015 Air? I'm running out of Macs

we don't want to see more proof, we already believe you... the question - and you know that - is how to achieve it :-)

No worries, the Truth will come out.

All of it.

Just going to make sure it is well known where the tech comes from before it gets into anyone's sticky claws.

If someone else can write an EFI to enable the cards they are welcome to. As someone said, the puzzle pieces are right there for everyone. It's not like we get an exclusive to things nobody else can see.

And I'll even give a hint that I've never let out before.

The FIRST breakthrough, the first Nvidia cards with eGPU output (when everyone at Tech Inferno was scratching their butts and kicking the "Intel Azul Framebuffer" around as a possible culprit) came when I (yeah, me) wrote an EFI eGPU rom using parts of a Mac rom from a machine with an internal Nvidia card.

EFI is far more elegant than hacking and tacking kexts.

EDIT: And here is the Air. Like nMP and 13" Non-Touchbar, this one was perfect in High Sierra

@Rominator
Will there be such eGPU enabled cards for sale?
In Europe, too?

This makes a lot more customers than just Mac Pro owners. Almost every Mac user with TB port will benefit from such cards.

First up we need to perfect the system. The 15" 2016 MBP and Mini have some issues that need to be figured out, but CUDA, etc working fine.

Will get samples to important folks for verification and testing. Starting with Barefeats. Will finally have benches coming from them, hoping to see the Windows 10 benchies too.

Anyone have contact at Sonnet or Akitio? Please link them to this thread. They will be interested in this.

Which AMD cards aren't working in High Sierra as eGPU yet?

I know some attempts have been made, but can't dig through it all.

Which cards still aren't working? I could give help if it doesn't leave door open for the Tech Charlatan. (Tech Charlatan = Goalie)

EDIT: Barefeats got the EFI eGPU Titan Xp. Getting incredible results on 6,1 in High Sierra and Win 10.

eGPU world about to change.

Don't forget about Mantiz (Mantiz Venus). I own one of those. ;-)

I am running 10.13.1 and web driver on my MBP 2016 15TB with Akitio Node/1070 GTX using NVIDIAEGPU driver at

https://github.com/pedroresende/NVIDIAEGPUSupport

I do have to disable SIP using "csrutil enable --without kext".  But for now all seems to work fine.
