Well, Rominator did call it. I inquired as to whether they (Wolfe) had tested 6 enclosures as well and got no response. Also no response as to whether multiple GPUs would work in a single enclosure.
I don't have the time to bootcamp my primary workstation (nMP with d700s) , so I dusted off an old (2011 / 2012) super micro box I had laying around:
- quad core Xeon @ 3.1GHz (either Nehalems or whatever came out right after)
- 8GB RAM
- 250GB SSD
- 3TB HDs in RAID 5
upgraded the following:
- added sound card
- USB 802.11ac WiFi
- USB 3 card (4 port powered)
- GTX 1070 (ASUS founders edition, as this may see some light duty password cracking)
Fired up Steam on HTC Vive - holy cow. This old ass box plays everything I've tried maxed out. If Apple just enabled the damn eGPU already I'd be cool to make money off the nMP till next year. At least I have a kickass gaming box now? What a disgrace.

KickStarter project canceled:

If you look at my post from 9/23 I was quoting their "we quit" announcement.
They bit off a LOT more than they could chew.
Spiffy website though.

Rominator, do you plan start selling cards with eGPU EFI for Sierra ?
cMP is getting older and older and it would be nice to have external GPU with full macOS support.
