No. =/
Double boot, chess/itunes crash, everything is still here. No any changes with new binaries.

Had a quick try last night and no go for me, I end up with a white screen and the spinning beach ball.
I will have another go tonight after reapplying the 10.7.2 update just in case anything was messed up prior to installing the 2 files.

Ok tried again after clearing out my old messed around with ati files, reinstalled 10.7.2 update combo and applied patched files and it works fine. I have packaged up the modified kexts along with the aty_init for anybody interested in trying it out. http://www.mediafire.com/?p9tlsbe3owms835 - NOTE you must have 10.7.2 installed already or if not then you should download and install the combo update (don't reboot yet), delete the ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle, reboot and then run the package.

Hey I can see the Desktop after Deleting the ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle - and at that stage, I install the package and system reboots - I then get the following on the screen

After the ATY_Init messages...

"Still Waiting for root device..."

Any thoughts on what is going on?

I am able to reproduce this error over and over.  I can get into the desktop when I delete ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle - I am not able to get get the drivers working at all.  What am I doing wrong?

Using andystubbs Nov7 ati patch I have finally logged into Lion 11.2.

I am running a P8Z68 i7 2600k 6970.

I basically created 3 boot partitions on my drive.  Ran Snow Leopard which I was able to get working and created a Mac OS X base system bootable partition using Andy's guide to do so.  Then I installed the lion 11.2 onto my third partition using the Lion base system.

Then I booted back into Snow Leopard and applied andy's P8Z68 patch and his new ati package to the new Lion drive.  Booted with Rboot and presto I finally got in after days of failed combos.

Andy, the only thing I can not get to work is the Chess program.  It crashes the system.  But heck everything else is working that I can find so far and I am a happy camper.  Have not tried any other games yet. Picture view finally works and so does utube.

Thank you Andy for all your efforts!

Edit: OMG forgot to thank Netkas too!  Thanks!

Hey,

I finally got everything working...without using the ATI_INT patch, I installed the modified kext and driver posted later in this thread by NetKas...and voila everything worked.  I will post in a bit on exact steps I used to get this working.

iTunes Works...no crashes, but the system does crash when I run the Chess App.  I assume that is a current stated bug...I wanna play chess, but will wait till fix is out.  I am quite happy now.

Also, I have latest Chameleon, etc...but still having iCloud issues...anyone know how to fix that?

Thanks
