Hi Guys,

I want to try figure out why 10.9.5 and 10.10 have limited external GPU's

For instance in 10.8.5 you can have up to 5 gpu's one internal and 4 external.
Then Apple being Apple in Mavericks disabled/crimped that to 2 and then in Yosemite further crimped to 1...

In an external GPU situation through Thunderbolt you can run the same PCIe box and achieve the 5 gpu limit.

There has to be a Kext file somewhere along the way that crimps the following,

I have all 3 OS X's installed, I can access there Kexts, But i don't know where to look or even start
I recently wanted to go the nMP route but netkas informed me that eGPU through thunderbolt won't work in windows and Bootcamp is vital at this stage.

I wrote Barr mappings, IIRC? because MVC/Rom said the following to me over at MRF

"I was under the impression that the GPU limit came with either 10.9 or 10.10. Something to do with Barr mappings, IIRC."

I tried googling some information but came up trumps. Any help with where to start looking would be great and appreciated.
