Picked up XFX HD 6850 today and installed. Booted with black screen (expected). DVD Player crashes. bench, geek bench scores greatly improved over gt120. Updated to 10.7.1 still same results. Installed the 6870 Packge just to see if DVD Player works - still no. Info here:

ATI Radeon HD 6xxx:

Chipset Model:   ATI Radeon HD 6xxx
  Type:   GPU
  Bus:   PCIe
  Slot:   Slot-1
  PCIe Lane Width:   x16
  VRAM (Total):   1024 MB
  Vendor:   ATI (0x1002)
  Device ID:   0x6739
  Revision ID:   0x0000
  Displays:
DELL ST2210:
  Resolution:   1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
  Pixel Depth:   32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

Any suggestions to fix DVDPlayer? Not that it is critical or I use it a lot - just nice to have.

Outside of that I have not found any other applications that do not work.

Added open gl view output if it is of interest to anybody.

Can confirm that both DVI and the HDMI work. Fourth port don't have a connector for. This is testing each one individually - don't have multiple monitors Sad

After installing the 6870 package had al kinds of graphic errors, loss of video in iTunes, slow loading of you tube etc. Reinstalled 10.7 and then applied 10.7.1, using stock drivers at this point and back to everything working except DVD player.

As mentioned, both DVI work as does HDMI.

Having been so used to a quiet machine with the gt120, do notice the fan speed a bit more, as well as its fluctuations. PCI Fan as high as 1300 rpms at one point, but now down to @800 which is the normal for me.

Any thoughts/suggestions on correction for DVDplayer?
