Title: How can I tell what kind of graphics card I actually have?
Post by: berserk539 on March 04, 2014, 02:53:34 AM
Hello, I'm new.

I bought a GTX285 1GB from a guy off of eBay, I picked it from him near his college.  It's a black card Nvidia (by PNY) with no printed information, aside from a label on the card that indicate it as a GTX285 for Mac with part numbers.  I asked and he was upfront about it being a flashed PC card.

My system profiler says it's a GTX 285 1GB.  Can it be lying?  ???

Thanks

If it quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it's probably a duck - as they say in these parts.

I'm not entirely sure that it's quacking.  After Effects rendering still takes a long time.

Did you install the CUDA drivers?
