Title: Confirmation Asus HD 4890.efi.rom
Post by: vinnie1978 on February 21, 2017, 12:05:42 AM
Today i bought a ASUS HD 4890 for € 10. I tried to build a 4890.efi.rom, but i had to move the MCUC, to make enough room for the efi part to fit.

Is somebody able to look at my build rom, and tell me if i did it the right way.
If i messed up, please tell me, and tips are very welcome.

Yeah, i know the card is an oldie, but was also very cheap.
If this card gets locked, or doesn't work i've lost € 10.  :'(

Thanks in advance

Better get HD4870, HD4890 never worked properly.

What he said

Even if you get EFI working, you still need to hack OS X to work with card

I got HD4890 in the past and the screen was shaking even under Windows so I sent it to XFX for warranty and they've said all works fine. I've used their card replacement program and replaced it with HD5770.

Thanks guys for looking at it and for the advise given.I will build the 4890 in a old pc, and search for a compatible videocard for the Mac Pro.
