Your gfxtring seems ok but try a little shorter version. 02010c00d041030a000000000101060000017fff0400 maybe that will work. a idea, try to change your pci root uid to 4. 02010c00d041030a04000000 try with both versions (change my shorter and your orig devpath) because i found from your dump this line: +-o PCI0@0 <class IOACPIPlatformDevice, registered, matched, active, busy 0> | | "_UID" = "4" .... please give a try.

mcmatrix, sorry for this, but if possible, give some help here. I've made all possibles dumps, with/without nvinject, and with/without gfx string, for 7600Gt. If possible, take a look dude. Thanx!
i will offer for your 4 different devpath variants follow my guide from http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,64.msg851.html#msg851 and make your devpath 1. ACPI(PNP0A03,0)/PCI(1c|0) 2. ACPI(PNP0A03,0)/PCI(1c|0)/PCI(0|0) 3. ACPI(PNP0A03,1)/PCI(1c|0) 4. ACPI(PNP0A03,1)/PCI(1c|0)/PCI(0|0) I will bet on 4. ACPI(PNP0A03,1)/PCI(1c|0)/PCI(0|0) NB! Dont forget add end node

Success!! I finally have fully working 7600GT in Asus P5LP-LE mobo. mcmatrix is the man!
My device path is dependent on _UID=1, so correct path is: PciRoot(0x1,0x1)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0
Used latest gfxutil(0.65b) to convert plist to hex string and added string to Boot.plist.
Raw gfx plist and Boot.plist attached.

PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) is correct syntax
http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,64.msg930.html#msg930Many thanks for pointing that out. OK - I think I finally get it: If I understand correctly, Pciroot which clarifies _UID will have corresponding _UID value, e.g.: PCI0@0,_UID=0 == pciroot(0x0); PCI0@0,_UID=1 == pciroot(0x1); Strings did not work until I clarified _UID. I actually did use incorrect syntax in gfxutil (PciRoot(0x1,0x1). Guess gfxutil ignore my foible? regards, t-e

PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) is correct syntax
Just wondering -- In your tutorial it reads that its important to clarify UID in device path. UID=1 for me, so I added extra '0x1' for UID to PciRoot to make it 'PciRoot(0x1,0x1)'. Converting to hex with gfxutil, PciRoot part of string became: 02010c00d041030a01000000 Strings did not work until I did this. Am I confused? regards, t-e Pciroot correct syntax is pciroot(_UID) because "pciroot" keyword is just alias of Acpi(PNP0A03,_UID) So if your PCI0@0 _UID = 0 then it doesnt make any difference if you write Acpi(PNP0A03,0x0) or PciRoot(0x0).

Hi guys , i've successfully got efi v8 working.
But the only gfx string i can find that almost works on my 8800GTS 640MB is the one that comes included with the pc_efi_v80 package.
Only problem is i cant use the gfxutil to convert the strings so i can remove the erroneous data.
I'm having the exact same problem. The string that comes with pc_efi_v80 works perfectly for my 8800GTS but gfxutil can't convert it (read_binary: invalid binary data, gfxutil: cannot parse gfx data from hex input file). I want to convert it back to plist to add my networkstring. Anyone knows what's wrong or anyone has the original plist from this string? Harbri

Please post that hex file, i want to test it. I'm having the exact same problem.
